horizontal navigation and follower count/load entire follower list
@lollyde replied:i do understand the idea behind that, but for me, and likely others, a follower count is helpful for reasons beyond just clout. not to give any credit to tumblr, but it had private follower counts and seemed to work well in that regard. and as a byproduct of that, i'm very happy that i can now see a full list of my followers (i'm actually rendering them with custom code so it takes seconds instead of minutes once the total has been counted), because i've found a lot of my long-time mutuals and other cool people from tumblr following me that i would have never seen otherwise because i wouldn't have bothered clicking the 'load more' button 119 times.
Are you sure you want to add a follower count? Cohost doesnt have one of those on purpose
A private follower count that would let you see everyone and manage that is exactly what I want - I’m with site staff in thinking that clout/fame is the opposite of what I want on a site, and I don’t think that there should ever be a public follower count listed anywhere that the user themself didn’t custom-code to display (thus saying a lot about THEMSELVES, more than about site culture), but knowing for my own edification how many people are seeing my stuff and who they are is useful. I’ve been the target of harassment campaigns on other platforms under different names than this; if someone who’s lied about me finds me I want to know immediately.
