Wanting to get started with torrenting but don't know what the big sites for it are these days? You've come to the right place!

Anime: nyaa.si

Movies/TV: 1337x.to , therarbg.to (Only use this if you can't find a torrent elsewhere, it was taken down before and is under dubious new ownership) , eztvx.to

General Aggregators: limetorrents.lol , solidtorrents.to , torrentgalaxy.to

PC/Mac Software: crackingpatching.com , torrentmac.net

If you'd like a combined search engine for all these services, I highly recommend setting up Prowlarr. You can hook it up with your favorite torrent client (I highly recommend qBitTorrent or Transmission) so that you can search and download torrents right from your browser. It's great, and there are tons of setup tutorials for it on YouTube, so go check it out if you don't want to search manually on every individual site!

EDIT: Also as others have mentioned, just about all other info you could need can be found in this piracy megathread: https://old.reddit.com/r/Piracy/wiki/megathread

Don't trust any VPN you see being advertised in a YouTube sponsorship. And there are NO good free VPNs for torrenting. They don't do much to protect your privacy and most of them don't hide your torrent traffic. Always check that a VPN actually covers your torrenting before subscribing. Ideally they should support new protocols like WireGuard, too.

I use Mullvad for my VPN, it's about as anonymous as you can get, is pretty cheap at 5 bucks a month, and allows you to download WireGuard profiles for direct integration with your torrent client so you can make absolutely sure that your torrent traffic is hidden.

Another good option is ProtonVPN if you'd rather use something else!

we unironically believe it's the responsibility of anyone who's been around a while to teach newer people to pirate stuff, so. there you go :)

heads up -- i wouldn't recommend using most of the sites in the movies/tv category because most of them are fake clones ran by different people to ape on good torrent sites that shut down years ago, (plus TPB is swarming with viruses and low-quality torrents these days from what i've heard). you can find this info at the r/piracy megathread here: https://rentry.co/megathread-unsafe-sites

also the r/piracy megathread is great in general. link to the whole thing here: https://rentry.co/megathread
