Aseprite (pixel art editor that's paid or you can compile it manually)
Reaper (DAW that's really great for music and has WinRAR-style monetization)
OpenMPT and MilkyTracker (soundtrackers for making music for windows and Linux respectively, though the former can be used on Linux as well)
Compiled Aseprite doesn't have the latest update, but generally these are just details, so Compiled Aseprite it's still good Aseprite
what do you mean compiled aseprite doesn't have the latest update? do they not push the latest code to github and tag releases?
in steam they put early betas of future versions, and they say they're basically the full functions almost flawlessly, and for Compiled Aseprite one's as to wait to these functions to come in the stable source code
