Baroque has a very interesting history. Starting on Sega Saturn, getting recognition on PS1, only localized on PS2 and Wii, but in a completely altered state.

Totally. The developers knew exactly what they had in mind and that whole world is top notch as a result. It's a solid reason why the PS2 remake, which dips that world in anime, isn't very well liked.
