so i'm going through all my photos and stuff, and i found a bunch of ley line maps i made for a 5e game that never happened, right? that's fine, games putter out before they're birthed all the time, but there's still usually at least a little bit of work that went into it.
it got me thinking: this place is full of fucking nerds! if you've ever GM'd i bet you've got some juicy tidbits of lore that never saw the light of day, right?
so i want to see the worldbuilding you never got to share, pls give this to me
I only got to embody Hulking Hill Giant Hogan, but it was gonna be great. My idea of the campaign was giants moving in and displacing goblins, other demihumans, and these refugees are scaring others as they flee, and the party would be called on to figure out what is happening and how to solve it with a minimum of chaos and bloodshed on either side, and also they would have to fucking wrestle. Stone giants: Stone Cold Ahs-Tinn, etc. Anyone I could do even a lousy but recognizable impression of, as long as I got to do Randy Savage.
Oh world building, the setting is a country that's not exactly evil but the priority is for ORDER above all else, and anyone who doesn't fit the assigned role they get in life either takes government service in exchange for limited freedoms or they're imprisoned/exiled/etc. Every aprty member is one of the square pegs who worked for the government, as someone who goes to fix problems before it reaches the point of armed military intervention. I was gonna have the party have to make some real fucking CHOICES later, like "put down a charismatic and noble folk hero who is speaking out against the system".
