i've never really been curious about the Force of Will card game all that much, but from what i remember it was going to be a bit of an anthology or omnibus of animations based on a couple of the sets from the game. i think they maybe released 2 trailers for the 6 shorts but after that no word was even dropped that it was canceled, it just tried to disappear from the internet lol
LS had a lot of HP Lovecraft inspiration and that's pretty evident in the trailer. as an artistic artifact, it's still really inspiring and give it a watch if you haven't seen it before
I'll always be disappointed that it was binned, but at the same time the trailer is evocative enough that it's fun to just imagine. Nothing ever seems to live up to what might have been anyway.
For a fuckin movie based on a card game. Unreal. I had no idea.
