It holds ALL of our books!! With room to spare!!! Organized by subject!?
Gonna pick up a few more shelves to go in the middle and find a new use or home for the printing press crate we've been using for a TV stand. It was previously full of dozens of notebooks, nearly all of which are being donated or recycled, other than a handful I am keeping because we like the paper. The plastic cabinet with sliding doors is one I built at my former job and used every day, and I'm happy I was able to bring it with me.
Next steps are to relocate those white shelves to the entryway of the apartment to help contain shoes, tools and shit for the car and free up space in the closets. The track shelving we took down will expand the storage in our office/dining area. I might hang some roll up blinds in front of it so it looks less utilitarian in there though.
Soon I want to empty out the storage room, discard anything that isn't actually useful (just about my entire stash of salvaged wood, frames, and more), hang the leftiver shelves to get shit off the ground... then donate or recycle everything out there in bins because if we haven't missed it in four years we WONT miss it. I mifht keep my dad's box of old c-64 software diskettes but who knows.
Then I'll use my shitty thord-hand workbench to make a new, much smaller Japanese style low workbench and floor sawhorses, and throw that big fucker out. Everything is being discarded in favor of space saving and efficiency.
Tomorrow: laundry! Hallway! Storage room! Donation run!
The books I'm giving up turned out to be nothing interesting. Some stupid diet books I was given. Some ancient German children's school books. Bits and bobs. An extra copy I had of volume one of Oh My Goddess.
