the problem is no more dst raises another issue. whether to use standard or savings time. im a fan of standard personally. make it lighter earlier always so i can have more dark hours in the evening. walks in the dark hit so different

In the wintertime at my previous job it felt so grim to arrive in the dark and leave in the dark for so much of the year. Like. I would resent the people I saw outside doing anything leisurely in the daylight when I wasn't able to... Having it permanently savings appealed because at least I could catch the last whisker of light for most of the year, or even enjoy a long afternoon in the summer.

I guess in my new capacity it doesn't matter so much - if I'm on second shift, more daylight early would even be better, since that way my morning is longer, and I'll be working from 230-11/3-1130 and leaving in the middle of the night no matter what anyway.
