A new trend in film: ridiculous escalation. The film starts with a simple premise (escape the sinister boarding school) and by the end, the fabric of reality is tearing apart (lead thinks they can escape through a hole in the wall behind a mirror, but a version of them escaping the school in another timeline shoots them point blank. Now they’re the lead, and they have to start over in a different version of the scenario they just escaped).
Kristen Stewart is considered the queen of the ridiculous escalation genre. She’s been shooting versions of the same scenario for fifteen years.
Fully onboard for this and Kristin Stewart could absolutely pull it off.
