My partner and I went to Shortrun, a zine fest in Seattle, and it was so way way way crowded that it made it a really bad time. My partner was trying to buy things and people wouldn't ALLOW it cause they were so busy chopping it up with the vendors. Like. Let them pay for things! They want to give the artist money!!

I kept getting pushed and bumped by people and it was getting upsetting. Also my least favorite thing of all, people turning and getting startled/frightened by me because I'm so fucking big. And then sometimes looking angry or grossed out?? Like sorry I tried to go buy zines too, I see now that it was wrong of me to exist in public when I'm so large. Next time I'll be sure to just return home after work rather than burden others with the sight of me.

I bought a little zine about sourdough and fucked off. What a bummer.

in reply to @EarthShaker's post:

yeah I always find shortrun to be super frustrating. not only is it really crowded and chaotic and so on but the organizers really hate webcomics for some reason and have repeatedly said that webcomics have no place in their festival for completely bullshit reasons.
