A pair of boxes with sliding lids, meant to be used as storage for paintbrushes, scissors, and so on. The first is made of transparent acrylic with a matte finish, the lid of which has gold mirror layered with "satin ice" micro bead acrylic. The second is transparent bronze acrylic - think "eighties answering machine" - with bronze mirror and satin ice lid. Both have beveled corners and edges but no polishing otherwise.
I made these to practice making channels for sliding, in case a customer wanted to order some - and it DID pay off eventually, when I made a large "shadow box" for someone to display maps and miniatures in, featuring a sliding middle shelf. Sliding doors as well. I'm still very pleased with my work.
