What are some interesting things to do with the computer?

So I have a laptop now but I haven't had a computer that's 'mine' (it's ours actually) in so long that I don't even know where to start anymore

I got VSCode, some page layout software, a BitTorrent client... Oh, I guess I could download some albums!

Hey also how the fuck do I move the taskbar to the left? I can only find out how tk move the start button and icons and that's not what I want. Fucking Microsoft I swear. I guess some stupid things never change.

some fun computer things:

  • emulating old games
  • collecting cool images and putting them in folders
  • just like, loads of piracy
  • organizing a collection of MP3s
  • using ProjectM to visualize your music using cool old winamp visualizers updated for modern systems (epilepsy warning though)
  • posting on a forum (i like selectbutton.net as you know)
  • trying out all the filters in paint.net
  • opening random files in Audacity as "raw audio" so you can hear what a dll or a bmp sounds like
  • browsing music collections on archive.org and downloading them into your new MP3 folder
