Im glad I can find flac of music I like but I need to figure out how to convert things to mp3 because I can't hear the difference I definitely can see how much more storage the flac requires

sweet, i haven't used it in awhile but i used to convert flacs to mp3s for the exact reason you want to right now. open vlc, media, convert/save.
I use foobar2000 as my music player and convert things to OGG VORBIS through a drop down menu, because it's the funniest file type to say out loud, plus it's pretty good!
I wonder if the $20-30 buck player I'm looking at supports it. That would be pretty sick actuslly
foobar can also convert to MP3 in any case. I do kinda want to get a dedicated MP3 player at some point...
