IDK he is good friends with Margaret Killjoy(his podcast network hosts her podcast) and was a writer for Cracked. Also was a poster on Something Awful back in the day.
i feel like working for cracked would make him less likely to like this site, but then you throw in something awful and damn now i don't know anymore!
perhaps co-host is the "fallout new vegas fan is trans now" of something-awful-posters. we're all better now.

There's a LOT of things wrong with it. Chief among the issues; who controls it, and what their motivations are.
i feel like AI that can be humane presupposes that tech we currently have to build it was made humanely which PHFHFFFFF
Reminds me of an interview between Adam Conover and Dan Olson where Dan said something to the effect of "There's no other word I can use to describe it, it feels like they're praying to chatGPT". Expanding that to praying to the all powerful free market through AI as a savior figure is a clever connection imo.

seeing this descent into a cult for a technology that fucking sucks in the first place makes me so fucking angry. it makes even less sense to me than religion in general because i understand how this works and it's all garbage. what do you mean you want to worship what could essentially be the worst if else tree i've ever seen because it spits out images that steal from millions of images. stop making the torment nexus a real thing already!
to people with lives measured in property, creatively making your own property is tantamount to creating life, which is a form of godship i guess??
