I've been trying to convince the executive branch to make a little forum for us. Like just a place where we can post current projects, ask for advice, share info, help each other with tricky questions...
Between the various stores we have like 150 combined years of fabrication experience - why shouldn't we pool our wisdom?? Imagine having a catalog of ideas to draw on! A body of work to reference?
It's FRUSTRATING that I have to bang my head on problems that are quite likely long solved. Some guy probably figured out my exact issue in 2001 or 1997 or whatever, the company has a fifty year history and nearly NOTHING to show for it as far as stored knowledge and methods. And no way to access the other fabrication staff except calling them one at a time. That's asinine!!
