I haven't owned a computer in like eight years that wasn't a hand me down or extremely used bought at goodwill computer... I'm feeling extremely intimidated by the task of finding and buying a new laptop, especially one that I can afford and get use out of for a long time. They're so fucking expensive even if I get one where I can do monthly payments.

I'm seriously considering for my next computer just going through the pcpartpicker and getting a tower computer because my last two computers, which have been laptops, have been faulty in a bunch of ways and there's no way for me to take them apart and expect to be able to fix or replace anything.
My apartment has such a limited amount of space that another desktop just wouldn't fit. Our desktop is the main tool my partner uses for their art so I'm really reluctant to use it for anything since every time I do, something seems to break the following day @_@;
