Right now I'm watching one on a 11-12 foot tall little girl named Little Amal, a three person puppet created by the Handspring Puppet Company. One operator on stilts who is her legs, body and head controller, and two more for her left and right arms and hands. She's beautiful. It's breathtaking.
One of the things the troupe leader mentions is "group think", a phenomenon where the performers think the same thoughts, and move in unison, like a flock of birds turning instantly, following each other's cues instinctively and without a clear leader. Performansona inspo lol.
