Nobody wants to break a 100. We'd all prefer the denomination didn't exist.
But many of us aren't well enough off to be able to afford to treat $100 bills like the worthless paper they ought to be when some other asshole uses one to pay us back for something. So, like, somebody's gotta break the hundos sometime.

I get what you are saying and I agree with you, and in another circumstance it'd be different- but I am not gonna give every small denomination bill in our store to a guy buying a plastic knob for something he broke on his personal /yacht/ and be stuck requiring exact change till Monday, I just can't do that. This guy was not hard up.
