We have a JET JMD-18 at work that broke last year. I think I can repair it... If I'm right, the part that failed is a single set screw that sheared or snapped. That's like... Ten bucks. Including shipping. Fuck it.
What's the worst that could happen
I crave the power that it would grant me
now some people would say it's stupid and dangerous to attempt a repair on a machine I haven't been trained to even use in the first place
But it could be FUN
and as I hinted at before the power it would grant me is astronomical. I could get up to some FABRICATION hijinks. Make some complicated, involved shapes. I want it so bad hahaha
worst case scenario is it just remains broken, and maybe some other things might happen too but don't worry about that
Be careful that the owner of the mill is fine w it. Otherwise they could def retaliate
