EarthShaker
@EarthShaker

was sitting here as I download Valkyrie Profile to play again for the 10th time that i sure wish they'd make a new game

and then remembered to my dismay that valkyrie elysium just came out last year or the one before and its a bland looking action rpg and the series is probably fully dead now

EarthShaker
@EarthShaker

its been eighteen years, i guess I can finally let go of my resentment and try valkyrie profile 2

i hate that they abandoned the gorgeous pixel art style

a vanillaware style super lush odin sphere looking art style for Valkyrie Profile 2 is what i wish we had gotten if anything had to change

but no

cant have shit in this life

I went to an old movie theater in the Castro for a film festival, and arrived before the show started. Was extremely startled when they showed vintage gay porn before the main feature started, like, where most theaters run that "noovie" waste of time. It was cute but what a surprise!

Later I went to find someone else who had been at that theater to confirm I didn't imagine the whole thing, and to convince them to talk with me I cooked them breakfast, and one of them spent the whole time making fun of my cooking and technique. I was unperturbed.

I wonder if there IS a theater like that in the Castro, or was. I was only there once in a blue moon, I never did much exploring. When I went goofing off in SF I was either in the Haight or the Mission.
