the sandwich (backing, batting, top) has been assembled and pin-basted
next up: thread basting so I don't have to figure out how to get a quilting frame between all the pins

We (I’ve been showing these posts to my quilter spouse) were wondering how long you could keep it from her.
Haha! I needed her help to deal with the batting and sandwich so the game was up... plus quilting it is going to take long enough that I don't want to avoid her when we could be watching TV together!
I married a machine basting hand quilter, so this project would take years here!
Ooh yes the top is machine-sewn but I will be doing the quilting part by hand! It would take much longer to sew the blocks by hand.
