It's been a while since I've dug through the book. Are the albatross unusual or not generally playable?
they're not too unusual but they have enough going on in their lore that it tends to be pretty significant to how the campaign goes.
in Warden's case, she's a bit legendary in a lot of places, and even if people don't know her name, they know the Albatross.
She's well over 200 years old thanks to time dilation and she's seen a lot over the course of those many, many years.
