yeah it's one thing that i kind of wish got brought up more often. on the one hand kink is a playspace but on the other hand, i tend to like it when characters talk it out and are genuinely enjoying themselves.
also an opportunity to write dialogue and banter which honestly is always fun.
Fully agree.
Even more so for talking out stuff like scene safety and set up if it's a kink heavy scenario like BDSM or such. Good healthy introduction for the readers, adds a little bit of flavour to the text beyond just horny.
Not to say that leaving it out doesn't open options to explore dynamics between characters further down the line, but I think it's extremely good to include :>
flavor is always good and strong; it's all texture that adds to the scenario and helps build some verisimilitude. it's the impression that things'll go on after the story ends
it's all neat! it's pretty cool that you can just imply shit and readers typically are imaginative enough to fill in some of the blanks, as long as you offer up enough for them to infer from.
