It’s called It’s All Stover, where me and my pal SniperSerpent (incredibly skilled game designer behind hit tabletop RPG Anomaly and many others and possibly also your own pal) read through the bibliography of author Matthew Stover, who’s most famous for writing the extremely well-liked novelization of Star Wars Episode III but actually has a robust body of original and licensed works. It’s been a lot of fun digging into his shit and it helps that almost all of it is genuinely really sick.
Tonight we’ve dropped our episode on Star Wars: The New Jedi Order - Traitor, our first licensed book and the first of four Star Wars novels Stover would write. The book is really cool, it does a lot of neat stuff around the ideas of like What The Force Is and how people talk to each other about it in Star Wars that feels ahead of the curve, and is very clearly an enormous inspiration on KOTOR II which was a surprise to me BUT A WELCOME ONE.
It’s also about a guy named Jacen with a c which, y’know, we take the good we take the bad.
