Finally, the episode where everything goes to shit and everyone dies I love that. I think it's so important that Bernie's CO goes ahead with everything despite being fully actively aware that the war is almost over and Zeon is definitely going to lose it. A science guy who secretly works on mechanical arm designs for mobile suits laments that they don't make anyone happy, but he's also still going ahead with it. This is the closest we've gotten to Tomino Gundam in many ways.
There's still a full third of this thing left after the initial plot tension has broken so I am looking forward to seeing what happens there
