We Watched Star Trek VI

Yeah alright this is the best one. Khan probably has the highest highs but the overall package? It's tip top right there even if the ending should have had them accepting being decommissioned because that's like the whole thing about not trying to avoid the future. I know they'd never allow that but come on.

This will always be my favorite for three reasons:

  1. Captain Sulu rules. Every scene he gets is so good.
  2. All the best Trek films break from just being "a Trek film". This is a political thriller which draws on the whole cast having been long-established to cram the whole thing top to bottom, no setup needed.
  3. I got paid to watch this one day at Fry's because I "had to" test a repaired laptop with a Blu-ray drive on it to make sure that, y'know, it wasn't gonna overheat and have problems over the course of an hour.
