cold, icy costal areas with a nice big deep underwater trench nearby.
Desert, an outcropping of rock in it specifically to build a lair in. Not too far of a flight away from civilization, though~
Bottom of the ocean in a tropical archipelago, though Arcanian dragons don't have a lair. We're way too social for that. Big piles.
