If you're therian/otherkin: How'd you figure out your kintype, and was it always a dragon?
Dragon characters/fursonas: Were you born a dragon or did you suddenly become one?

no joke here. someone made an offhand joke comment about how every system has a dragon member the day after we all figured out we weren't human. literally a minute after reading that i went "wait hold on is that me" and oops now i'm an ice dragon.

I'm the one that had the first otherkin/therian realization! Read a comic about someone who got turned into a Hisuian Zoroark and how they pretended to be human. It felt...far more relatable than it should've, and that's how I initially established being otherkin. The dragon part came later. It just...happened? Had some weed. Suddenly had wings and scales and it didn't wear off. Whoops!

Falling into both categories feels weird as hell. I've been a dragon since I showed up in the system, but beforehand I wasn't. I used to be a normal ratfolk but...uh...ran into some dragons for the first time. I immediately felt at home and comfortable around them more than at "home" and since they have a whole process of making non-dragons into dragons...yes, I did that. Now I'm a dragon! It's great.
