Normally I try very hard to ignore discourses but this one's been a litttttle ticking-me-off because of how it's been negatively affecting my friends and touches on topics of prescriptivism and policing language that I'm too much of a Words Dork to not have strong feelings about
I'm literally an editor. I fix grammar and spelling as my job, but even I know that there's different registers for different contexts, and I severely dislike how people use the topics of disability and accessibility as a prop to police how folks are talking to an audience primarily of their friends. I'm also a therian, and I know how vital it is to have spaces where one can present as their identified species.
