looks over glasses I've been to two of these and seen another six, so this list looks legit.
It seems like every time I find someplace that's nice to live, they don't have any of my favorite chains. No Checkers, Roy Rogers, Boardwalk Fries, Nathan's, or Naf Naf. :(
Then there are the greats that went out of business or are only a trademark now, like Sizzler, D'lites, Potato Sack, Casa Maria's, Chicken George, Rax, Gino's Hamburgers, York Steak House, Pumper, Doggie Diner, Wags, Red Barn, Ground Round, Naugle's, and Ponderosa.
Trips to Steak and Ale were the highlight of the month for me and it seemed like you were never more than ten minutes away from one. Acquired my lifelong love of baked potatoes and salad bars there. Saw a ghost, too.
