i met @chastity at resshoumania this weekend and they told me to learn Secret Garden setups, so i'm learning Secret Garden setups. thankfully, Millia players that came before me have created all sorts of resources to find routes into SG, because there's quite a few varieties! last night i sent chastity a clip of haircar into secret garden which i am too lazy to upload, but i noticed that I-No has the same far S-disc combo as Axl, and far S-disc is a great tool to convert stray hits near the corner so it feels like a better place to start.

what else........ i had a tarot reading booked today that got rescheduled so i'm probably going to play in TXT's 2v2 format tonight instead. i unpacked my bags and i have a lot of laundry to do. i Need caffeine.

my new roommate just started a load of laundry right as i was going down the stairs and it's a slow day at work :eggbug-relieved: here's that clip i was talking about:

fun detail here: picking up pin with dash disc. didn't really know it was possible until I asked for help on the Baiken MU last month and saw someone do it in a clip for me. i'm pretty sure the trick is, inputting 2366H after fully recovering from haircar, so the momentary 2 is done in neutral to grab pin. tradeoff is that the slightly delayed dash (since you aren't buffering 2366 in the tail end of recovery) means a slightly delayed disc - it's already late, but now a bit later. since the ⚠ popped up here when haircar connected, i'm pretty sure it was still meaty?? could be a problem on faster wakeup characters though. and maybe it's a problem here!

TBH, it's a fun combo but considering the multiple layers of setup, I'm less interested in it compared to the S-disc combo I mentioned above... for now (the caffeine suddenly kicks in) ohhhhhhhhhh. disk oki -> garden is like mooching in FFXIV fishing. s-disc combo into garden is a big fish just on its own. i'm so right about this.

damn, you're right!! i usually thought of it like "24 is kinda like 25 so it's close" but i never noticed the actual distribution of wakeup timings, thanks for pointing this out :yeah:

It was interesting going through the faceups of the whole cast. I tend to focus on them a lot less than face downs, since all of Dizzy's knockdowns except 6H are face down, but it was neat learning that 75% of the cast has a face up of 25f or slower, meaning H fish hits meaty on them (as opposed to face down where only a small fraction of the cast gets hit meaty by H fish).

I'VE BEEN USING THE WRONG COLOR THIS WHOLE TIME................................... thanks this'll fix my oki

you might run into wakeup VCL since that low crushes on frame 2

ughhhhhhhh i'll try to wakeup tool this later this sounds fun
