Pillowfort does this too. But what is the point of a likes system when you can't go back and access your previous likes? It feels very vestigial when they don't serve any kind of a function.
They aren't bookmarks because you can access them, they aren't social because only 1 person can see them, and they aren't analytical because you can't see how many you've gotten on a post. Likes are just there because other websites have likes.
