I'm trying to create a functional basic combat system for my system that's not completely useless(alla DnD5e) but still does compete with actual weapons. An uppercut to the ribs should do something to a mook, but not as much as anything.

So far I have the idea of everyone has a basic set of possible actions and of them there's stuff like light attack, heavy, and push, etc. But i need more to ready flush it out. If you know any system that has something to inspire let me know.

I've seen a few videos that all rant about Velma being bad, but I've only seen Your Movie Sucks openly point out that, while it might suck, the people who are just being racist are still just racist.

It's this thing that a lot people have noticed. Basically "Driving While Black" but for creating sucky media. I've recently come some stuff about Y2K. A terrible game made by two white guys. Everyone said it sucked and memed about for a while and then moved on. Same thing with Be Cool Scooby-Doo. They sucked. They sucked balls. Donkey balls. But no one was mad. Upset and disheartened by the idea of possible future projects, but vile engagement was not a tone a saw often.

It's important to be critic by media for a laundry list of reasons, but we also need to be counter bigotry. Rainbow Capitalism is not a force of good. Companies should not be able to say "we have minority characters" and have that be a shield, but also bigotry should be able to fester under the guise of legitimate criticism.

I decided to put in a mechanic in my TTRPG system that can be boiled out to "Just tell us the answer, damn it!" and I'm looking for name suggestions.

It's primary purpose is provide a way for the GM to basically unstuck a campaign without it feeling forced and prevent frustration from the players. After all, a player has to invest in the mechanic if they want to use it.
