We definitely write stuff in an...altered state of mind. We've written drunk, high, crossfaded, half asleep, brain melted from migraine, and with different people fronting (some of which1 feels like we are high).
The only time we've ever shared that raw stuff was when we were writing fanfic and didn't care and we thought it was funny. We've kept those stories up, as-is, as a testament to our own hubris and to remind ourselves not to do that shit again.
We bring this up, 'cause there's A Guy on this one writing forum we're on, and they posted a chapter of something for critique. It was not good! And many people said as such. Someone mentioned a specific line that referenced a licensed IP doing not-great stuff. Oh, can you point out where? the A Guy asks. I was hallucinating when I wrote it, so I don't know what's in there.
y'all, he posted this raw shit for people to critique! When he hadn't even read it himself! Do you know how mortified we were for him. Why would you do that. Why would you admit that!!!
