Surface word order shenanigans like the Germanic V2 rule and the (possible, I don't know how widely accepted this is but I'm sure I've heard good cases for it) underlying VSO + topic fronting stuff in Spanish is so extremely cool to me. Would love to hear about examples in non-IE languages
