There was an open day yesterday for some (relatively) recently re-excavated flak bunkers here on Guernsey. This was the command bunker for Flak Batterie Dolmen by Pembroke bay. I didn't take many pictures cause I was busy lookin but it was interesting
The bunkers were built during WWII by Nazi occupying forces (or more practically speaking by slave labourers), stripped and abandoned at the end of the war, graffitied up in the 60s and 70s and then buried at some point shortly after. Honestly the graffiti was kinda neat, there was a big devil drawing and a Kilroy and recommendations for scandalous literature
The bunkers in this battery had 8.8cm flak cannons on top. The insides were mostly storage and crew quarters I think. The cannons were likely never used, like most of the fortifications here
