I enjoy doing worldbuilding a lot and have a big sci-fi setting with magic I've been building for over a decade now

If you want to know more places to find me,
ask me on discord! I don't bite (unless you want me to :3)

So, I've gotten back into factorio recently, and because I like using mods I thought I'd go ahead and share a list of the ones I'm currently using

(I was going to sort these into categories but decided that was a bit too much effort at the moment so they're in alphabetical order. I at least sorted out the library mods into their own section you're welcome)

  • AAI Vehicles: technically a collection of mods. Adds a broad assortment of new vehicles to the game. Chaingunner Flame Tank Flame Tumbler Hauler Ironclad Laser Tank Miner Warden
    • AAI Programmable Vehicles: Allows the vehicles from the above mods as well as vanilla and other mods present in this list to be controlled like RTS units or programmed with instructions via signals. Link
    • AAI Signals: Required to be able to send speed, direction etc. as signals. Link
  • AAI Containers & Warehouses: Adds 2x2, 4x4 and 6x6 versions of steel chests and the various logistic chests, which have accordingly larger storage space. Link
  • Advanced Fishing: Adds a dedicated machine for catching fish, as well as a few new fish types with different amounts of health they restore. Link
  • Advanced Solar: Adds some higher tier variants of solar panels and capacitors. Link
  • Armor Reach: Makes armor and powered armor give the player a longer reach. Link
  • Armored Trains: Adds armored trains and turret wagons. Link
  • Armored Biters: Adds a new biter variant, the Snapper, that is more armored and has more health but is slower. Link
  • Automatic Train Fuel Stop: Lets you set up train stations that trains will automatically divert to to refuel, so you don't need to refuel them at their regular stations. Link
  • Automatic Train Painter: Re-colors trains based on their contents. Link
  • Belt Sorter: Adds a circuit condition controlled belt sorter for belt-to-belt sorting. Link
  • Better Waterfill: Like landfill but water. Self-explanatory. Link
  • Bottleneck: Adds a little indicator on various machines that shows if they're crafting, full on product without being able to output, or short on ingredients. Link
  • Bulk Rail Loader: Adds rail loaders and unloaders that can rapidly fill or empty cargo wagons. Link
  • Bullet Trails: Adds bullet trails to machine gun type ammo, including assault rifles, vehicles, gun turrets etc. Link
  • Cargo Ships: Adds cargo ships that function like trains on water, as well as a nice little boat, offshore oil, and train bridges. Link
    • Cargo Ships Graphics: Required for the above to work properly. Has all the textures. Link
  • Disco Science: Makes labs light up with the color of the science packs they're currently using. Funky. Link
  • Do Robots Build Automatic Trains?: Makes blueprinted trains that were in automatic mode when blueprinted be built as automatic trains, so they don't have to be switched from manual mode. Link
  • Early Game Logistics: Adds very early game, very weak versions of logistic and construction robots that you'll probably actively want destroyed by biters when you get their vanilla counterparts. Link
  • Equipment Gantry: Adds a way to automatically place things into equipment grids, such as power armor or a spidertron. Link
  • Factory Planner: Do the spreadsheets and calculation stuff in-game. Link
  • Fireproof Bots: Makes bots not die to fire. Link
  • Fireproof Land Mines: Makes land mines not die to fire. Link
  • Fireproof Trains: Makes trains not die to fire. Link
  • Fluid Wagon Color Mask: You know how train engines can be painted different colors? Like that but on fluid wagons too. Link
  • Geothermal: Adds geothermal power. Link
  • Infinite Tech: Adds a few more infinitely repeatable technologies, for fun. Link
  • Informatron: Lets mods that are set up with it tell you about their features in-game. Link
  • Islands World: Adds a new world type that generates many disconnected islands, rather than a continuous landmass with lakes or a single island. Link
  • Logistic Gun Turret: Lets you upgrade gun turrets to interface with the bot logistics system by requesting ammo. Link
  • Max Rate Calculator: Does what it says on the tin. Link
  • Miniloader: Adds 1x1 loaders that can be used to transfer items directly to and from belts. Link
  • Nuclear Fuel: Alters the nuclear fuel cycle to differentiate weapons production from fuel production. Also, breeder reactors. Link
  • Orbital Scanner: Lets you launch special satellites on rockets to keep sections of the map in view permanently without setting up radars there. Link
  • Orphan Finder: Adds a hotkey to show underground pipes and belts without a match. Link
  • Power Armor Mk3: Adds two new tiers of power armor with larger equipment grids, and stronger versions of existing equipment to match. Link
  • Rampant, Fixed: A modified version of Rampant with more aggressive enemies and a couple more factions that can appear. Link
  • Realistic Heat Glow: Makes heat pipes for nuclear reactors glow in a nicer looking way. Link
  • Recursive Blueprints: Allows for the automatic deployment of blueprints. Link
  • Resource Map Label Marker: Automatically adds markers to the map showing where ores are and the patch's yield.
  • Rocket Silo Construction: Makes the rocket silo require a 6-stage in-place construction process. Link
  • Shield Projector: Adds a shield projector structure to supplement your walls. Link
  • Show Max Underground Distance: Makes underground belts and pipes show the maximum distance they can connect to while you're placing them. Link
  • Side Inserters: Allows inserters to rotate by different amounts instead of just 180 degrees. This doesn't sound major but trust me. Link
  • Squeak Through: Makes pipes etc. less annoying to work with by letting you squeeze through gaps. Link
  • Storage Tank Mk2: Adds an upgraded storage tank with pipe attachments on all 4 corners and slightly higher capacity.
  • Text Plates: Adds placeable plates that can be used to write messages. Link
  • The Blueprint Designer Lab: Adds a space where you can test out and design blueprints separate from the rest of the world. Link
  • The Abandoned Ruins Mod: Adds random pieces of debris and broken down structures scattered around the world for you to reclaim. Link
  • Tinted Spaceship: Makes the spaceship from the start of the game change to match the color you set yourself as. Link
  • Todo List: Adds an in-game to-do list that you can write in and check stuff off of. Link
  • VortiK's Deep Core Mining: Adds deep ore patches that appear from mined out regular ore patches, plus core seams, which can be tapped for more ore that requires more complex processing to use. Link
  • Water Consumes Pollution: Makes water tiles absorb some pollution, with lessened effectiveness as they get saturated. Link
  • Water Well: Lets you place wells to get water anywhere regardless of bodies of water. Link

Library Mods (aka mods that add nothing but scripts required for other mods to work)

  • Dragon Industries - Nauvis Edition: Link
  • Factorio Library (aka flib): Link
  • RitnLib: Link
  • Simulation Helper: Link
