kinda fucked up how one of the most widely accessible human-powered low weight forms of tran-sport-ation (the meager Razor scooter) is so socially ostracized, despite it being probably one of the best pics for the intersection of "someone who doesn't want to walk literally everywhere" and "someone who doesn't want to lug a bike or car around"
skateboards work but they are less accessible than scooters, because scooters have handlebars and they're more difficult to fall off of. bikes are like, heavy, and when you don't want to pedal you have that much more weight to lug up a nasty hill. even freeskates have the skateboard problem, though you're able to go up hills after some serious workout with pumping like scooters literally just work. also, they have bigger wheels so you can even take them a little bit off road or on weird roads like old brick and dirt without them dying immediately and you eating shit. they literally Just Work, but noooOOOOOOOOooooooooo they're not "cool" enough like >:\
