ΘΔ am creature (dragon edition)

I enjoy doing worldbuilding a lot and have a big sci-fi setting with magic I've been building for over a decade now

if you were a dragon what kind of dragon would you be. describe your draconic self to me. as detailed as possible just in case it lights a few flames ;)

@Entropic-Decay

Full draconic form
A larger than average western-style dragon, with scales of stones and minerals: main scales are black onyx, with a very slight purple tint to them; underbelly scales are small scale-shaped amethyst crystals; and there's a line of keels down the spine made of gray slate that start around the top of the neck. Claws are made of steel, and there's three sets of solid silver horns, the topmost set being the largest and each set below being a bit smaller than the one above. The top of the head features a mane of light purple hair, with an undercut on the right side. There's a pair of fin structures on the sides of the head that serve as external ear structures. The tongue is forked. The wings are membranous. The tail is almost as long as the rest of the body, and simply tapers to a blunt end.

Anthro form
Basically, take the above and make it humanoid, with digitigrade legs. Size is flexible, usually settles around 6'5. Somewhat stocky build.

Primal form
Take the draconic form from before. Got it? Remove the hair, the ear-fins, and the membranes from the wings. Replace the silver horns with a messy, tangled mass of native silver wire. Turn the onyx scales and the flesh beneath into a solid mass of onyx that moves like flesh. Replace the amethyst scales with full crystals like those you'd find if you cracked open a geode. Extend the slate keels into long, sharp spikes. There's no visible eyes or mouth on this form, either - when there needs to be a mouth, a fissure forms along the snout that splits to reveal a gaping maw filled with crystals of various forms of quartz. The tail has the addition of a large, complex steel blade at the end.

in reply to @lorenziniforce's post:

lessee...
-matte black fur/hair, mottled grey and black scales, flecks of gold suggestive of freckles, bright gold eyes.
-bipedal body plan, roughly twice the size of an average human
-legs like those of a draft horse, fur transitions back to scales at about mid-thigh
-spaded tail and really big spoon wings
-curly goat horns
-can't find clothes that fit, makes their own Frazetta-esque outfits out of junk and animal pelts/bones

i've toyed with this design for ages and think i've got it trimmed down to a reasonable degree. i should probably comission art of them at some point...

Well let's see, younger Jackie did have a dragon sona for a vanishingly short period of time and while that design did inspire a current OC it didn't really survive the passage of time. Anyways I'm not interested enough in dragons to be inspired to a more modern design and I'd probably just fall back on the original design.
Very fluffy, relatively rounded snout, no horns, short solid white fur that would be a nightmare to care for, and some small candy red markings probably around major joints and on the face.

I am having a hard time deciding on one specific form, so shapeshifter.
Ok, but to actually describe one form (the default i guess), humanoid, about 2 meters tall, scales in various shades of green, darker on the back, lighter on the front, bright yellow eyes, slightly curved horns, pointy swivelling ears, long brown hair (i am keeping that part of my old body, cause i like it :3).
Other variants i have considered: Amphimorpho-like, taur, those long noodly ones from chinese mythology (at least i think that's where that type is from), actually just a fox that pretends to be a dragon (badly).
So, uh, no flame lit, sorry to disappoint, i am still a fox. Though dragon still ranks pretty high as a form that would be neat to have.
