Dwarf fortress but there's an extremely low chance for a given character to become "Influenced by Outer Forces" and aware of the fact that their world is in a game and could be deleted at any time. and this can either drive the character mad (causing them to have a breakdown and most likely die) or become a terrifying villain as they leverage knowledge of how to exploit the world they're in to try and destroy it
