what if some of the phase transitions were handled by him like. possessing V1 and you get a sub-phase that's basically a battle in the mind before he gets kicked out and you're in another layer of hell
like he just fucking grabs you and there's a popup thing on-screen saying INTRUSION DETECTED or something and then suddenly you're in a cyber grind arena fighting him. and then after fighting there for a bit you pop back into the standard fight, he's stunned for a brief moment and you're in a different layer
