I enjoy doing worldbuilding a lot and have a big sci-fi setting with magic I've been building for over a decade now
dumb magic item:
Spear that will "Pierce the Heavens"
When thrown while on a planetary body, the spear will immediately begin exponentially accelerating towards space, quickly surpassing the speed of sound. It will not stop accelerating until it is at least 500 km from the surface. It will pierce through any obstacle in its path.
