took out an older digital camera of my grandpa's to take flower photos around the neighborhood (the cherry blossoms are in bloom it's very pretty!)
struggling to move them from the camera's SD card to my computer because it like. starts beeping at me once it's plugged in and then when i try and access the files from the computer, the camera lets out a long beep at me before turning itself off. also the battery indicator on it flashes red when it's doing this? it's fully charged why is it like this

tried reading the SD card as directly as I can, my computer lacks a slot for it so I had to use an adapter that is, apparently, no longer functional.
as for drivers, it did come with a disc that has since been lost, and looking for the camera's model online (Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2K) does not yield any results for its particular model, just related ones in the same line

it does connect and allow me to access files, but it doesn't like me actually trying to look in the file where the photos are
