i think it'd be really funny to manipulate my own density and damage resistance in a fight against a magic user but not consume their spells
they hit me with their biggest, strongest beam attack and after it fades i'm standing there just fine. maybe a single scale has a crack form across its surface to show they did something but like. thats all you managed to do
maybe you've got an integrated HUD module for an eyepiece or something and you just see a damage number pop up as a percent out of 100 and it's just like 0.000001 or something. like you did basically nothing with your strongest attack
