so, with my setting's dragons, and the tendency of anything animated purely through magic to take the shape of a dragon by default. there's a few types of "construct" dragons that can occur naturally or artificially. they tend to take on traits associated with whatever they're initially made of personality-wise. so here's a few:
- Steel Dragon: The scourge of scarred battlegrounds and starship debris fields alike. Formed from the broken remnants of weapons and armor, these dangerous foes crave nothing but destruction... and like all naturally formed construct dragons, they can integrate more of the stuff they're made of into their form. Thus, they grow larger and more dangerous with each kill, until eventually put down by that they might have fed on.
- Stone Dragon: Mountainous creatures, often found slumbering and confused for a conventional mountain range oddly rich in magically-infused resources... until any mining operations end up waking it. Generally neutral, and can even be persuaded to come to one's aid in certain situations, but earn one's ire and you will learn exactly why they're colloquially known as "the fathers of quakes."
- Wind Dragon: Also known as zephyr dragons, these atmospheric flyers tend to remain rather small, as gases drift out of their loosely held together forms just about as fast as they can gather more. While their behavior errs more towards that of being playful, it can be a bit of a nuisance if you encounter one while in a more precarious situation. Some consider them a sign of good luck, while others see them as an ill omen.
- Plasma Dragon: Formed in the intense heat and pressure of stars, these beings are vanishingly rare outside of their birthplaces. The few times they have been observed to leave a star, they've started to go out and quickly returned to their origin. As such, little is known about their behavior.
- Draco-Wraith: The final, stable form of a Wraith - chaotic, unstable beings of pure mana that appear within mana storms. Utterly unpredictable.
