sufficiently dwarfy fortress entrance:
obsidian dwarf visage protruding from mountainside, formed from obsidian. mouth opens to allow passage.
when under siege, the mouth can be closed via drawbridge, and the eyes can open to unleash "tears" of lava. channels dug around the mountain funnel the lava back into a reservoir and prevent it from torching anything beyond.
