This morning, we visited the Korakuen gardens that are supposed to be very similar to what they were in the Edo period. It was definitely worth the time. From Okayama to Koyasan to stay in a monastery, it was a lot of travel. We're in the mountains at least 900 meters up there. It's pretty special place. I can see it as being the heart of Buddhism with my minor knowledge.
