A take on thisbe. Look, deer have weird faces and weird faces are fun to draw. Also, mad long eyelashes. I don't usually see thisbe with ears so they're probably non-canon but the bigness of the eyes and ears in proportion to the head is what makes a deer feel distinct to me.
And the cape is also very non standard. I've seen such cool drawings with a rough/ragged cape, so rather than repeat that I thought I'd draw on some recent research I've been doing for a personal project to give it a different spin. This cape is a brat, a garment used in medieval Ireland. The thick fringe was decorative and probably a display of wealth, but it was also super practical, because when you pulled the cape over your head in the rain, the fringe would hang over your eyes and give you a mix of shielding and visibility. I don't know that thisbe needs a rain shield, but the texture and weight of it add some pleasing visual interest.
