I sometimes feel a little bit self conscious about how much of my social media output is fanart and fan posting in general I guess. I should probably make a more committed effort to post more about my own work.
It's tricky tho. My day job is wonderful but it's mostly not things I can talk about. (that might change soonish but it's true for now.) A lot of my personal art is physical media, and all my recent stuff is a3, which makes it hard to scan/photograph.
And I don't really like posting works in progress, which means a lot of my current projects just stay quiet. Maybe that's the thing I need to change? Or maybe I just need to finish one of the ten things I'm working on idk.
Whereas it's soooooo easy to bookmark a couple hours in the evening and be like, well, I'm going to be listening to youtube or podcasts anyway, may as well bang out a bit of art I have in my head on my Ipad. And then it's fun to post that and forget about it. And maybe there's no reason to be self conscious about all this but I guess I am anyway. Who could know. I've never been one of social media's natural posters in any case, and I'm basically content with that.
