It's been a lovely time on this website.
the roms megathread has been up for years now as an easy, non-invasive, fast way to download almost anything up to the sixth console gen. I'm surprised so few of my friends know about it, or that it hasn't gotten taken down already
take advantage of this resource while it's still available
this is cool, but is there a way to get a .zip archive of an entire console's library rather than downloading the roms one at a time?
If you're cool with command line tools you can always rsync the myriad links. the internet archive links are more tricky, some contain torrents, but the megathread site says sometimes those torrents are incomplete. an authenticated script or using a download manager while logged in might prove more helpful, idk
a bunch of reddit people started hosting retro games on the internet archive. it should turn up on a google search, I'd recommend giving it a look
